Bernard Hinault didn’t take too kindly to people getting in the way of his racing. In the 1984 edition of Paris-Nice a large group of protesting French shipyard workers blocked the race route. As the peloton collided with the protestors, several riders either dismounted from their bikes or fell onto the road. However, Bernard Hinault (aka “The Badger”), took things one step further, throwing punches at the closest shipyard worker within reach. Photo and text come from Studio-Office
